Security
Your story belongs to you. It should stay that way.
Your creative content is stored encrypted rather than as readable plaintext. The keys that protect it are kept separately from the database.

What is Parşömen?
Parşömen is a browser-based workspace where you organize the fictional world behind your novels and stories. It helps you gather your characters, locations, organizations, notes, timeline and every other story detail in one place.
Will I write my novel in Parşömen?
No. You keep writing your novel in Word, Google Docs or whatever writing app you already use. Parşömen isn't for writing the story itself — it's for organizing and keeping consistent the world behind that story.
What can I organize in Parşömen?
You can organize your characters, locations, organizations, world rules, races, creatures, items, spells, beliefs and the terms unique to your story. You can also manage your notes, timeline, family tree and the fields you use in each section.
Can the details in my story be linked together?
Yes. You can link characters to family members, organizations, locations, items and other elements of your story. The connections you create show up automatically on the related pages. Relationships like parent and spouse also appear in your family tree.
Can I decide the fields for each book myself?
Yes. You decide what information appears in the character, location and other sections through field templates. You can use the built-in fields or create new ones specific to your story. Changes you make to a template don't break records you've already created.
Is my data safe?
Every user can only reach their own books and content; nobody can see your books, characters or notes by guessing or changing a link. Beyond that, the descriptions of your entities, your notes and your custom field values are stored encrypted in the database, and the keys that unlock that content are kept separately. Book and character images live in private storage and are only shown through time-limited links tied to your account.
Can I export my data?
Yes. You can download your book's characters, locations, notes, events, relationships and other content as Markdown or JSON files whenever you want. Your data isn't locked into Parşömen.
Is it really completely free?
Yes. There is no paid plan, no trial period and no locked feature; everything is open to everyone, and we don't ask for card details. Only usage that consumes the service to an unusual degree (automation, bulk data generation) may be restricted.
Do I have to set everything up from scratch to get started?
No. Your new account comes with a fully filled-in sample book so you can see how the sections and the connected structure work. The sample book is read-only; you can remove it from your library and bring it back later if you like.
Can I delete my account and my data?
Yes. You can start deleting your account from the settings page. For your security a confirmation link is sent to your email, and nothing is deleted until you confirm. Once confirmed, your account, books, characters, notes and author card are permanently deleted.
Can I use it on my phone and tablet?
Yes. Parşömen is browser-based and adapts to tablet and mobile screens as well as desktop. You can use your library, characters, notes, family tree and every other section right from your browser.
